Warranty
Two warranties, and who stands behind each
A new roof comes with two promises. Know which one you are being offered.
The shingle maker's warranty
Covers defects in the shingles themselves. Its terms, limits and exclusions are in the maker's printed warranty, and wind and hail terms differ by product. It is not an insurance policy.
Our workmanship warranty
Covers how the roof was installed. Its length, terms, limits and exclusions are in your written warranty, and you get a copy before work starts.
Longer system warranties
Some shingle makers offer a longer warranty when specific parts are installed together by an approved contractor. Your estimate says whether one is part of your job.

About warranties
What does "lifetime" on a shingle box mean?
Usually the shingle's manufacturing defects, for as long as the original owner owns a single-family home, with the payout reduced over time. Ask for the printed warranty and read its limits.
Who registers the manufacturer's warranty?
We do, and we give you the registration. If a longer system warranty is part of your job, only an approved contractor can register it.
Does the warranty cover storm damage?
Read the terms. A workmanship warranty covers installation, and a shingle warranty covers defects. Storm damage is a matter for your insurance policy.
Want the warranty in writing first?
Ask for the warranty copy with your estimate. We are glad to send it.
